Amelia the Singing Fairy is the fifth fairy in the Showtime Fairies series.

Appearance[]

Amelia has long, wavy light blonde hair, fixed to one side with a pink rose. She wears a long, silver sparkly dress and pink high heels and a musical note pendant. Her wings are round and grey tinted.

Rachel, Kirsty, Mr and Mrs Walker are at Tippington Festival where the singing auditions are taking place. Rachel's parents let the girls explore on their own, so they walk around, coming across a cupcake stall. One of the cupcakes is sparkling and its butterfly decoration turns out to be Amelia the Singing Fairy. She tells the girls that she senses her magic star is somewhere around the festival and they all look for it while walking around the festival. They talk to Rachel's friends Libby and Marcus, who show them Thrillz and Chillz, a band of four singers who are busking very well. Rachel and Kirsty spot their green skin and giant shoes and realise they are Goblins and Amelia's magic star is stuck to one of their microphones.

Rachel has an idea to make herself look like one of the band so she can unstick the star. Amelia turns her into a goblin with the same outfit in a secluded area and Rachel joins the other four goblins, waiting for them to pass the mic to her. When she does get it, she realises she has no idea what song they're singing, so starts singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star while trying to unstick the star. The goblin next to her scolds her and takes the microphone back. The goblin band pack up their things in a guitar case and leave just as the singing auditions are about to begin.

Rachel rejoins Kirsty and Amelia and Amelia turns them into fairies to watch the auditions. They fly under the judge's table and notice one of the judge's feet are green and realise it's a goblin. The auditions begin and the goblin judge introduces themself as Felicia Freeze, who is standing in for Suzy Soprano who was supposed to be the judge. Thrillz and Chillz will be the first to audition and the band walk on stage. Kirsty has an idea and asks Amelia to make her voice loud for a few seconds. She shouts "It's Thrillz and Chillz, everybody!" making her voice sound like it came from a speaker. Felicia Freeze jumps up and cheers, but the other two judges remind her as a judge she needs to be neutral. The judges realise she must be in coalition with Icy Towers, so the audience boo her off. Icy Towers is disqualified from the auditions and Felicia is dismissed.

Meanwhile backstage, Kirsty is in the goblins' guitar case looking for the star when the goblins close it, taking it with them. Rachel asks Amelia to make her look like one of the human statue performers they encountered earlier. She is turned into a Jack Frost statue and stands right in front of the fleeing goblins, pointing to a bowl for money. Scared, the goblins open their guitar case and Kirsty flies out with Amelia's star. Rachel points the goblins in the direction of the exit so they leave the festival and the three fairies reunite. Amelia turns the girls human-sized again and they hear calls for help coming from a trailer. It is Suzy Soprano's and Amelia unlocks the door. Suzy thanks the girls for helping, as she suspects her lock was stuck. She hurries off to the auditions. The girls rejoin Rachel's parents to watch the auditions and see Tippington School Choir perform 'Magic in the Air'.
