Buttons is Rachel Walker's Old English sheepdog. He has occasionally helped the girls retrieve the fairies' magic items and has seen the fairies before.

Buttons is described as a Old English sheepdog with white and black on the front and back of his body.

He first appeared in Holly the Christmas Fairy and helped get one of the presents back. He also appeared in the Petal Fairies, Chrissie the Wish Fairy, Trixie the Halloween Fairy, Camilla the Christmas Present Fairy and others.
- He helped get Natalie the Christmas Stocking Fairy get her stocking back.
- and he helped get Tamara the Tooth Fairy's magic coin back.

"Buttons wagged his tail. Then he grabbed the end of the ribbon in his mouth, trailing red ribbon behind him."

Buttons ran in, wagging his tail. He licked their hands, delighted to see them.
Buttons' ears drooped as he left the conservatory with the girls. Rachel stroked his head. "Don't be upset, Buttons," she said.
Rachel, Kirsty and Buttons all fell backwards, panting and the goblins landed on top of them.
There was a puff of sparkling fairy dust. When the sparkles cleared, a juicy bone was lying between Buttons' front paws.
