At Rainspell Island’s beach, the girls and their parents have come to a local surf club’s “Save the Coral Reefs” event. Rachel agrees that she and Kirsty will meet their parents at twelve, then the girls wander towards an information booth. The lady there tells them that coral reefs are made of living creatures, and a lot of them are being hurt both by climate change and by people or boats that bump into the reefs. Walking further, Rachel notices something sparkling among some rocks which turns out to be Coral the Reef Fairy, sitting on a crab’s back. Coral says she’s come to find the girls - she’s heard from the sea creatures that three Goblins have her wand near a very large reef.

Assuring them that her magic will keep them warm, let them breathe, and return them dry at the moment they left, Coral showers the girls in fairy dust to turn them into fairies. The three of them dive into the sea and are swept up in a stream of magical bubbles that whisks them all the way to the tropics and a colourful coral reef. A clown fish points them in the direction of the goblins, once the girls can get him to stop telling jokes. They soon find all three goblins, wearing bubble helmets and flippers and climbing all over the coral as they play tag.

The goblins notice the fairies and speed away, and Rachel, Kirsty and Coral can’t keep up while avoiding touching the reef. Coral is the first to notice a group of snorkelers who’ve just jumped off a boat nearby; the humans aren’t nearly as careless as the goblins but their flippers do bump into the reef as they take pictures of the coral and the fish. Thinking quickly, Coral sends some subtle magic their way that gently nudges the snorkelers away from the delicate reef. Kirsty is looking around for the goblins when she sees a clump of jellyfish approaching. She, Rachel, and Coral dive to the seafloor to avoid being stung, and the snorkelers return to their boat.

After a bit more searching, the fairies find the goblins kicking around a ball of seaweed and using a crevice in the reef as a goal. Coral confronts them angrily about the damage they’re doing to the reef, but the goblins ignore her. Rachel whispers to Coral that she can try moving her wand out of the goblin’s hand like she moved the snorkelers, and Coral sends a small cloud of bubbles to surround her wand and tug on it. The other two goblins have to hold onto him, but the goblin is able to keep his grip on the wand until the bubbles pop and fade.

Spying more jellyfish above them, Rachel gets an idea and tells Coral how to make the goblin let go of the wand. Kirsty announces that she, Coral, and Rachel are leaving the area because it’s too dangerous, indicating the jellyfish overhead. Once the fairies have moved out of sight, Coral sends more magic bubbles to pull the wand upwards, dragging all three goblins with it as the other two try to hold their friend down. The goblin with the wand lets go when it brings him dangerously close to the jellyfish, and all three tumble into a patch of seaweed. Coral retrieves her wand, blows the goblins far away from the reef with one last burst of bubbles, and returns the girls to Rainspell beach, dry and human-sized once more. Kirsty suggests making posters for the snorkel rental shop to warn people about being careful with their flippers near coral reefs.
