An objective recap of Rainbow Magic's different UK cover designs.
Original design (2003-2016)[]
Time: Ruby the Red Fairy to Melissa the Sports Fairy.
Fonts: Whimsy Bold ('magic', title and author), Cafeteria Bold ('RAINBOW').
Design: The fairy was placed in the centre or right side of the cover surrounded by foil glitter and magic symbols. The logo featuring one of the fairies in the series was in the top left corner. In the bottom right corner there was a rainbow with the series name, author name, and the symbols of each fairy in the series which would be mirror foil on their book. The covers of the series fairies would have colour gradients. The covers of the Holiday Special fairies would have a reflective/patterned plain-colour background.
On the side, a picture of the fairy on the series logo would be split between each book in the series. It had the full title, book number and author name.
Versions: From the Twilight Fairies, the fairy was surrounded by a ring of glitter and a glowing circle behind them.
From the Baby Animal Rescue Fairies, the fairy had a glowing flower shape behind them.
Second design (2016-2023)[]
Time: Friendship Fairies/Fizz the Fireworks Fairy to Felicia the Fidget Toy Fairy.
Fonts: Cafeteria Bold ('RAINBOW'), FF Fontesque Text Bold ('magic', title).
Design: The new logo was placed in the top centre of the cover. The fairy was directly underneath it, with a glowing circle behind them and stars and symbols surrounding them. The title and the author name was at the bottom centre of the cover.
On the side, there was a picture of the fairy whose book it was. It had the fairy's first name, series name, number in the series and author name.
Versions: On some of the later covers, the logo is larger.
Third design (2023-present)[]
Time: Hope the Welcome Fairy to the present.
Fonts: Superclarendon Bold (title), Bembo Infant Bold ('Daisy Meadows').
Design: The 2016 logo was modified, using a different font for 'magic'. It was placed in the top centre of the cover and the author name was placed above it. The top half of the fairy was shown inside a swirly glowing ring and the title followed the curve under it. The fairy's magic objects were shown inside the ring.
On the inside, the font changed from Times New Roman.
