Appearance[]

Daisy has wavy medium-length blonde-brown hair, pinned back with a single hairpin and a chain of daisies. She wears a cropped blue and white stripy shirt and colourful flowery leggings. She also has a long, green rain coat and dark purple wellies. Her wings are pointy and purple-tinted.

Symbol: Daisies.

Magic Objects/Job[]

Magic Objects:

  1. The Glow Stick: ensures that people have a great time whatever the weather.
  2. The Sleeping Bag: makes sure festival-goers have a good night's sleep.
  3. The VIP Wristband: makes sure the acts are on time and nothing goes wrong during concerts.

Job: Daisy's job is to ensure that music festivals are fun and safe for everyone who attends.

Jack Frost's Poem[]

The humans love their festivals,

The fairies love them too.

I'll put a stop to all their fun,

And make my dreams come true.

My magic storm will freeze them all,

And send the sun away.

Bring mud and rain and misery,

And fill them with dismay!

The Good-Times Glowstick[]

Rachel, Kirsty, Mr and Mrs Walker arrive at Silver Birch Family Campsite for the Rainbow Days Festival. The girls explore the tepee Rachel’s parents rented for them, then get dressed in their circus-themed clothes and go to the festival.

They ride the helter-skelter together but it magically takes them to Fairyland, where Queen Titania is waiting for them. She introduces them to Daisy the Festival Fairy, who explains Jack Frost has taken her magic objects to ruin the Grand Fairy Festival. Rachel and Kirsty agree to help look for them and Daisy sends them back to the human world.

The girls decide to watch the circus show but see that two of the clowns are Goblins. They follow the goblins outside the tent to find Jack Frost dressed as a hippie, scheming with six other goblins. He sends three goblins off with each of Daisy’s objects while he works on ruining the weather.

The girls follow the clown goblins back into the tent, where nothing is going right. Daisy appears from inside a water bomb and they all watch the two goblins throwing the glowstick to each other.

Rachel and Kirsty heckle them, taunting them to throw it higher. With their egos hurt, they do and Daisy who is hovering above catches it and it turns back into fairy size. The girls escape the tent and reconcile with Daisy, who thanks them and returns to Fairyland.

The Sweet-Dreams Sleeping Bag[]

Rachel and Kirsty awake the next morning and leave their tepee to have breakfast with Mr and Mrs Walker. As they all take in their surroundings and the very cloudy sky, they hear other campers having trouble with their tents and cookers and the girls think this is because of Daisy’s missing sleeping bag.

Mrs Walker suggests the girls go to the food stalls for breakfast, so they leave. They see one stall is extremely busy and spot goblins who are serving egg and bacon rolls. The man running the Cornish pasty stall tells them off for not having a licence but they don’t care and throw pasties at him. The girls find Daisy behind a jug of lemonade and suggest they look behind the goblins’ tent for the sleeping bag.

Rachel comes up with a plan to turn into fairies and slide under the tent, which is being guarded by a goblin. They do so and enter the tent to find it covered in rubbish. After searching for a while, they find the sleeping bag, only for the guard goblin to spot them and capture them inside a pillowcase. He puts something over the pillowcase to stop them getting out. The fairies search through the dark to find each other and Daisy’s wand.

She conjures up a spell to burn a hole through the pillowcase, just as the goblins are returning from selling all their rolls. Daisy turns Rachel and Kirsty human size, startling the goblins who back away, letting them leave.

Daisy tidies up the stall the goblins left and thanks the girls. When she leaves, the grey clouds part slightly and the girls celebrate, for Jack Frost’s spell is starting to grow weaker.

The VIP Wristband[]

On Sunday morning, the girls are getting into their 80s-themed clothes, excited about the music performances later on. They eat breakfast and hear Daisy singing, sitting in the tree with some blackbirds, which she says is part of the magic to stop Jack Frost’s cloudy spell from working. She urges the girls to help her again and they finish up breakfast and go to the main stage.

They find the festival organisers sitting around gloomily. Two of them, Sophie and Josh, tell them how everything has gone wrong with the musicians and sound system. The girls leave them and start looking for goblins. As they look through the crowds of people, it suddenly grows cold and hailstones start raining down on them.

The girls take refuge in the lost kids tent and hear a busker playing an electric guitar in the midst of the hailstorm. They join the group of people watching him (the hail’s stopped by now) and learn it’s a goblin wearing an 80s disguise and see he’s wearing Daisy’s red wristband. Kirsty comes up with a plan, to pretend to be workers from the spa stall and give the goblin a facial. They go up to him counting his money and offer him a free face mask and he agrees.

Kirsty slathers a strawberry face mask on him and Rachel places cucumbers on his eyes. Daisy flies out and slowly eases the wristband down his wrist, but Jack Frost appears and grabs her. He scolds the goblin for his stupidness and takes the wristband from him, running away with Daisy. The girls chase after him and the hail starts again.

Rachel and Kirsty catch up with him and are scrabbling over each other to release Daisy, when a security guard breaks up the fight and grabs Jack Frost, taking him under a tent. Jack Frost insults him a few times and the security guard assumes he’s stolen one of the girls’ Rainbow Days wristband. He makes him give the VIP wristband back to them and notices he’s not wearing one himself. Therefore, he kicks him out of the festival grounds, confiscating his wand. Daisy is grateful for the girls’ help. As soon as she vanishes, they hear the sound of a guitar coming from the stage, meaning the sound systems are working again. The girls enjoy the performances, vowing to come again next year.
