The Walkers and the Tates have climbed a hill behind Blossom Village for a picnic and chosen a spot near a stream. After eating, Kirsty notices some silvery fairy dust rising above the trees just downstream and nudges Rachel, who distracts their parents by pointing out Leafley Village below them. The fairy dust spells out a message for the girls to follow it and Kirsty gets permission to go exploring with Rachel.
In the woods the girls find Danielle the Daisy Fairy, who greets them and warns them there are goblins in the woods who are after her magic daisy petal. One goblin is making a daisy chain with fresh, healthy daisies, indicating the petal must be nearby, soon the other goblins show up and begin fighting over the chain and who should look for the petal. After one goblin kicks at the pile of loose daisies, the girls and Danielle notice that flowers are blooming wherever he steps and they think that the petal must be stuck to his foot. Kirsty asks Danielle to turn her and Rachel into fairies so they can talk to the goblin out of his reach, then suggests the goblin lie down for a rest since he must be tired from searching. As the other goblins have disappeared among the trees, the lone goblin agrees and is soon asleep with his feet on a rock and his head on a pillow that Danielle made from the pile of daisies.
Just as the girls are about to grab the petal, the other goblins appear, noticing the fairies and the lazy goblin but not the petal. One goblin raises the ice wand that Jack Frost gave them to send hailstones at the rock, while the lazy goblin scrambles out of the way leaving the petal behind. Danielle is hit by a hailstone and knocked away from the rock, losing her wand in the process. The goblins can see the petal and the wand, but can’t reach them through the hail, while the girls might be big enough as humans for the hail not to hurt them, but Danielle can’t turn them back without her wand.
A short distance away, a girl who has noticed the three fairies offers to help, thrilled to meet a real fairy. She introduces herself as Rebecca Wilson and Danielle quickly explains what’s going on, cautioning her to keep the existence of fairies a secret. Soon, Rebecca is sheltering the three fairies with an umbrella she had in her backpack so Danielle can get her wand and her daisy petal, while the goblins try to come up with a spell that will get rid of the hailstorm. As soon as they do, Danielle turns the daisy pillow into a sturdy, magical daisy chain that ties up all the goblins in a group.
Once they’re a safe distance away, Danielle turns Rachel and Kirsty back into humans to Rebecca’s surprise and delight, then thanks all three girls before taking her petal to Fairyland. The girls thank Rebecca themselves before she returns to her own picnic. Back on the hillside, Rachel and Kirsty enjoy some muffins as their parents marvel at the blooming daisies they hadn’t noticed on the way up.
