Rachel and Kirsty are in the car with Mr and Mrs Tate driving to Greenfields Farm, passing farm animals in pastures along the way. They arrive at the farmhouse, with Harriet Hawkins coming to greet them. She leads the Tates and Rachel round the back of the house, where her husband Niall is finishing milking from Blossom the cow. The girls are allowed to stroke her and Harriet suggests seeing the ducklings while the adults mend a broken fence. The girls walk to the duck pond, watching the ducklings splash and quack. Then Rachel sees a ducks' nest glowing and a fairy flies out. She introduces herself as Debbie the Duckling Fairy and invites them to the Fairyland Farm. The girls are turned into fairies and whisked away, where they meet the other Baby Farm Animal Fairies and Francis the Fairyland Farmer.

The fairies and Francis introduce the girls to their magical animals, including a calf named Toffee. Suddenly, they hear evil laughter and rush to find Jack Frost and three of his goblins kidnapping the fairies magic farm animals. Despite the fairies, Francis and the girls pleading with them, Jack Frost refuses and says he'll take the animals to his petting farm at his Ice Castle so his snow goose can have friends. He gives some magic to his goblins to take them to his petting farm, but as soon as he vanishes, the goblins disobey and go to the human world instead. Debbie takes the girls back to Greenfield Farm where they find the ducklings have disappeared and the adult ducks are worried.

Kirsty immediately sees a goblin footprint. Turned back into fairies, they follow the footprints to the farmhouse where they hear puppies yapping. Turned back into humans, Rachel and Kirsty enter the kitchen to discover the ducklings acting like puppies. They notice Splashy, Debbie's duckling, being chased by a goblin. They try to coax him using a slipper Debbie magics up but another duckling takes it. As Debbie magics up a dog toy for Rachel to use, the goblin grabs Splashy and leaves. The girls, Debbie and the other ducklings follow him outside. Kirsty uses the dog toy to play fetch and the ducklings trip the goblin into a mud puddle losing his grip on Splashy.

Rachel passes him to Debbie and the ducklings return to normal. Kirsty and Debbie reassure the goblin, who runs off to find another duck pond and Debbie uses her magic to clean the kitchen. She thanks the girls and goes back to the Fairyland Farm. The adults return from mending the fence and they all have dinner, the Hawkinses asking the girls to look after the baby animals for them.
