On their second day at Golden Palace, Rachel, Kirsty and the other children are looking around the palace. When they come to the Costume Gallery, the palace stewards Louis and Caroline announce the children will hold their own pageant for the public to see. Everyone picks out slips of paper from a hat to decide who they will be with Rachel getting Sir Beaumont, an 18th century knight who lived at the palace and Kirsty gets the court jester. However, as everyone begins dressing up, they realise parts of their costumes are missing. Kirsty notices a sparkly thing in a costume box and Demi the Dressing-Up Fairy comes out of the box.
A rowdy kid looking for a tiara catches the girls’ attention. They watch him as he steals the keys to the Jewel Chamber from Caroline and realise he's a goblin. They turn into fairies and follow him as he sneaks into the Jewel Chamber. Demi spots her magic tiara in a glass display case, which a princess goblin unlocks. A goblin dressed as a guard confronts him, as he takes his job very seriously. As the two goblins are arguing, Kirsty sneaks into the case to get the tiara, but her jingling jester hat gives her away and the princess goblin locks her in the case.
The princess goblin decides it’s best if he wears it to keep it safe and the guard goblin agrees. They leave and Rachel and Demi go to the case to save Kirsty, but Demi’s magic won’t work. Rachel uses a fairy-size broomstick to pick the lock and Kirsty is freed. They race down the corridor, chasing the goblins. They find Princess Goblina sitting on a throne in the Throne Room and Demi dresses Kirsty up in a proper jester’s costume. She entertains the goblin as Rachel and Demi attempt to grab the tiara, but the guard goblin comes in and warns him.
Rachel uses her broomstick to flick the tiara off his head and Demi catches it as it turns to fairy-size. Rachel, Kirsty and Demi leave the goblins to argue about losing the tiara. Demi gives Rachel a proper knight’s costume, thanks them for their help and vanishes. The girls return to the others where people are arriving for the pageant. Louis has found the missing dressing-up box which is full of costumes and everyone happily dresses up.
