Kirsty, Rachel and their parents are visiting the Chaney Court Flower Show near Blossom Hall hotel. Most of the flowers look wonderful, but the people leaving the Rose Tent look disappointed in what they’ve seen. Walking down a row of different styled gardens, Rachel notices one labelled “Fairy Garden” and gets permission for her and Kirsty to explore. One bush full of healthy pink roses catches their eye, but to their dismay several goblins dressed as small boys are already underneath, pulling off the blossoms in search of the magic rose petal. Ella the Rose Fairy greets the girls from behind the bush and tries to call her petal to her with magic once one goblin finds it, but another grabs it before it can fly very far. All the goblins run out of the small garden and into a hedge maze.
Ella turns the girls into fairies to follow the goblins from above, then magically grows a piece of hedge to trap the one with the petal alone near the statue in the middle of the maze. She turns the girls back into humans to confront the goblin, but another goblin pokes the ice wand Jack Frost gave them through the hedge and chants a spell to “zap all things pink”. The girls and Ella, all three of whom are wearing pink, dodge the spell which instead hits the statue and the goblin with the petal, turning them pink instead of targeting pink things. Realising his mistake, the goblin with the wand pokes it through the hedge again, but Kirsty grabs it away from him. Just then, the magic wears off the hedge Ella made and it disappears, allowing all the goblins to rush in. She quickly turns the girls back into fairies and Kirsty is happy to discover the ice wand shrinks with her hand.
Noticing another person in the maze, Kirsty chants a spell to send the goblins back to Jack Frost’s Ice Castle, but she, Rachel and Ella are also caught up in it themselves. The spell carries them to the castle garden near the goose pond and the pink goblin triumphantly offers Jack Frost the rose petal. Thinking to distract him, the girls shout that they have his wand, but the wand returns instantly to him and he begins shooting ice magic bolts at both of them. The girls are forced to hide behind a tree and can only hope that Ella got her petal back while Jack Frost was distracted.
Soon, a burst of multicoloured magic showers down on the girls, turning into flowers as it falls that block the ice magic. Ella has retrieved her petal and alerted the rest of the Petal Fairies to come to the rescue. The girls notice that the icy bolts are freezing the falling flowers and so does Jack Frost, who happily gathers the preserved flowers and instructs the goblins to decorate the garden with them as the Petal Fairies quietly bring the girls away to The Fairyland Palace. There, the king and queen thank the girls, saying flowers are meant to be shared and Jack Frost could have just asked for some instead of stealing the petals. Ella conjures a flower garland for each girl to wear around her neck before the queen sends them back to the middle of the maze as humans.
Kirsty notices the garlands have become necklaces with flower-shaped charms, while Rachel realises they don’t know the way out of the maze. Fortunately, the person who was in the maze earlier, a girl their age, finds her way to the middle and leads them to the entrance. Kirsty decides to give the girl her flower necklace and Rachel’s magically splits into two matching anklets once the other girl is gone. The girls put on their anklets and meet their parents by a rosebush in full bloom.
