Clara the Chocolate Fairy is the fourth fairy in the Sweet Fairies series.

Rachel and Kirsty are off on an exciting tour of Candy Land! But when they're given a horrible-tasting chocolate bar, they know they have to help Clara the Chocolate Fairy get her magical charm back from Jack Frost. Can Rachel and Kirsty save the day, once again?

Appearance[]

Clara has long, straight blonde hair with a fringe and with a purple (silver) headband. She wears a purple summer dress with ruffles at the hem over red (silver) leggings, pink ballet flats, and a cocoa bean necklace. Her wings are diamond-shaped and light pink-tinted.

The next day, Rachel and Kirsty are walking to Candy Land sweet factory for their tour. They meet Aunt Harri outside, who sends them to their tour group, and then returns to the cookie department where she works. Matt, the tour guide, leads everyone around the chocolate department, but the sample chocolates taste disgusting. The tour hastily moves on to the packing area, where the girls spot a sparkling chocolate wrapper on the conveyor belt, which turns out to be Clara. She flutters into Rachel’s shoulder bag, and explains how the Goblins have her cocoa bean charm. Everything seems to be going wrong apart from the Sticky Toffo Chocs production, where a worker is breaking hygiene rules and eating them. He trips and the girls notice his big green feet - he’s a goblin.

Out of sight, Clara turns the girls into fairies and follow the goblin into the storeroom, where Jack Frost is sitting surrounded by piles of chocolates, with the cocoa bean charm. The fairies fly up to him and ask him to give it back, as if that will ever work, and he disappears instantly, along with the goblin worker. Clara transports herself and the girls to Jack Frost’s candy castle, where he’s scolding the guards for eating the door. He spots the fairies flying in the air and runs into the castle, just as the wafer drawbridge breaks, falling into the milkshake moat. The girls follow him inside nonetheless, and watch him telling off goblins for eating his castle. He reaches the bedroom, sliding through a secret door, but is upset to find it’s ruined - the goblins have been eating it. Even the chocolate floor tiles with his face on has been eaten at.

Kirsty has a plan and whispers to Clara, who writes ‘Lizzie’ in the air with her wand, summoning Lizzie the Sweet Treats Fairy. Lizzie fixes the floor tiles to Jack Frost’s happiness, but he soon becomes stuck to them, as the tiles are toffee instead. Rachel unhooks the charm from his neck and gives it to Clara. Clara turns the floor back to chocolate, and she and Lizzie leave, sending the girls back to Candy Land. Matt leads everyone to the store room, where Clara has cleaned up Jack Frost’s mess. The chocolate samples taste amazing, and the girls meet up with Aunt Harri in the canteen afterwards for lunch.

Trivia[]

Her US name was originally Coco. This was changed back to Clara before release.
Clara originally had red leggings in the UK version, but were coloured silver when published.
Clara makes the best chocolate cake in Fairyland.
