Jade the Disco Fairy is the second fairy in Dance Fairies series.

Jade's sparkling green fairy magic flashes to a groovy disco beat. Jade wears sparkly spandex clothes, and has a sparkling personality to match. Disco ball lighting follows her wherever she goes. Everything about her is so flashy, you have to wear sunglasses when she's around!

It's the day of Kirsty's school disco! But Jade the Disco Fairy's magic ribbon is still missing, and without it the disco is going to be a complete disaster. Kirsty and Rachel need a plan, and fast!

Jade has long, red hair with a green star on her cheek. She wears a jade-green halterneck top with green, swirly-patterned flared trousers, green bangles, and high-heeled green sandals. Her wings are pointed and green-tinted.

After winning a game of bowling with Kirsty and her family, Rachel is ready to join Kirsty at her school’s disco party. When they arrive, no one is dancing yet - probably a good thing, Kirsty realises, with the Disco Ribbon missing - but soon two teachers try to dance, stumbling and colliding. Students fill the dance floor, less worried about their own dance skills, but no one seems to be able to keep their balance, except for one boy with tall platform shoes and dark sunglasses in the corner. Upon closer inspection, that boy turns out to be a goblin, who must have the Disco Ribbon because he and everyone close enough to him are much better at dancing. But it isn’t long before he’s disappeared out the door.
Jade the Disco Fairy joins the girls as they start searching the empty classrooms. They soon find the goblin dancing atop a desk and demand the ribbon back, standing far enough away he can’t freeze them. Jade turns the girls into fairies when the goblin lunges for them, waving the ribbon tauntingly. He swats at the three fairies flying just out of reach around his head, but the ribbon flies from his hand as he does so and gets caught on a model solar system. The goblin is able to grab one end, and as he tugs at it Kirsty asks Jade to tickle him so he’ll let go and the girls can take the other end. She does so with a feather conjured from the tip of her wand, and the girls begin untangling the other end, but when he finally lets go the ribbon slips from Rachel’s grip and lands on his head.
Triumphantly, the goblin stuffs the ribbon back in his pocket and stumbles down the corridor in his clumsy platform shoes. At Kirsty’s suggestion, Jade conjures up a glittery disco ball and turns the girls back into humans. Rachel rolls the ball after the goblin and bowls him over; the girls catch up to him as he tries and fails to stand up, then kicks off his shoes in disgust. Kirsty snatches the Disco Ribbon and gives it to Jade, who reattaches it to her wand and sends the girls back to enjoy their dancing.Trivia[]
