Fairy Profile from the Official RM Facebook Page[]

When Danni twirls her wand above her head, she sends out a swirl of pink glitter, punctuated by the sound of a drumroll and a crashing cymbal. She is into all styles of drumming, and has a large collection of drums of all types and sizes from all over the world. Danni loves parades, and is the leader of the Fairyland Marching Band. Danni is always tapping out rhythms with her wand on whatever is handy. She says goblins' heads have a pleasing, hollow sound.

Juanita, the winner of the previous year’s music competition and one of Kirsty and Rachel’s favourite music artists, is making a video in Wetherbury, and the girls have been invited to participate as extras thanks to a friend of Mrs Tate’s, Mandy, being involved in the production. The woman who gives the girls their costumes says the instruments haven’t been working (no surprise to the girls), so they’re using a recording and having the players mime. When the makeup artist is called away for a moment, Danni the Drum Fairy pops out of a tin of sparkly powder. She greets the girls before hiding under Kirsty’s hair when the girls are called to the set.

When the music starts, the girls notice the drummer is waving his drumsticks wildly and barely touching the drums. The director has also noticed, and calls a halt to confront the drummer, who complains he can’t see out of his robot helmet. When he removes it, the girls can tell the drummer is a goblin, and they’re amused when the director tells the makeup artist to paint the goblin’s face green like an alien in place of the costume helmet. After another disagreement (the goblin didn’t want to use muffle pads on the drums), the music begins a third time. Though the drums are now muffled, the girls and Danni can tell that the goblin is keeping rhythm very well. There’s no sign of Danni’s magic drums, but Kirsty points out they might be their Fairyland size and in the goblin’s pocket.

The goblin is dismissed from the set after he makes up his own drum solo that isn’t part of the song, and Danni decides to follow him since the girls are still needed on set. Rachel pretends to trip and knocks over the drum set as a diversion, and Danni zips out of the room. Later, when the girls have been given a break, they find and follow a pink sparkly trail Danni left them to a room where three goblins are huddled around the tiny magic drums, grumbling about not having the wand that could make them grow. They soon begin arguing over a full-size triangle one goblin is holding, which gives Rachel an idea to lead them away. Danni conjures a pile of instruments in the next room over and the girls tell the goblins about them, enticing the other two away but not the goblin who had been the drummer. Kirsty suggests Danni should shrink him to Fairyland size, telling the goblin when she, Rachel, and Danni enter the room again that Danni can make the drums the right size for him.

At first, the tiny goblin doesn’t realise he’s shrunk, and he happily begins to play the fairy drums until Kirsty picks him up and holds him out of harm’s way while Danni retrieves her drum set. The other goblins return, but they’re too late to catch her as she and the drums fly up out of reach. She promises to unshrink the tiny goblin and give the instruments she conjured to the goblins if they all go home right away, but it’s not until the girls threaten to dress him up like a dollhouse doll that the tiny goblin agrees.
