At a small gift and card shop, Rachel plans to buy a thank-you card for Kirsty’s parents thanking them for hosting her. Kirsty spots a card with a fairy on the front and shows Rachel - when they open it, Fiona the Flute Fairy pops out in a puff of sparkles. She tells the girls she can feel her flute nearby, and just then a large group of people dances down the street. Outside, the girls are captivated by beautiful music and almost join the impromptu parade before Fiona breaks their trance and turns them into fairies to follow the source of the music, which must be her magic flute. Catching up, they find a goblin in a pink dress and flowered hat playing the flute, and two goblins disguised as boys following behind.

The girls and Fiona try to hide in the flute-playing goblin’s hat, but Fiona’s wings tickle his ear and he swats her away without looking. She and the girls fly to a nearby tree and hide while the other two goblins approach and begin arguing with the flute player, who doesn’t believe the other two saw any fairies and thinks they’re just after the flute. Fortunately the crowd is gone now that the music has stopped. The smallest goblin takes the opportunity to grab one end of the flute, but the goblin in the dress holds onto the mouthpiece and the flute comes apart, with the third goblin snatching the middle section as soon as it falls. Neither of the other two sections work without the mouthpiece, though, so the goblins dressed as boys continue chasing the one in the dress, the girls and Fiona following all the way out of the village. Seeing the fairies, the goblins split up, and Fiona decides they’ll chase the smallest one first. He trips over a log and drops his flute piece, which Fiona shrinks to Fairyland size and takes.

The smallest goblin has landed in a pile of leaves where it turns out the one with the middle flute section had been hiding. They begin shoving each other, and Rachel spies the flute piece in the leaves, momentarily forgotten. Fiona makes the leaves fly around and distract the goblins as she and the girls retrieve the second flute piece. The third goblin seems to have disappeared, so Fiona uses a bit of magic to ask some nearby animals for help. One fox says something is blocking his den; it turns out to be the third goblin, who crawled in to hide and got stuck. With the fox tickling his toes, the goblin agrees to hand over the flute mouthpiece in exchange for help getting out. With her flute reassembled, Fiona turns the girls human again and they try pulling on the goblin’s feet, but he’s still stuck when the other two come to laugh at him. Eventually, Fiona makes the tree above the fox den dance enough to let the goblin out with a magical tune, then thanks the girls and returns to Fairyland as the arguing goblins stomp away.
