Hope the Welcome Fairy is the 59th fairy in the Holiday Special Fairies series.
Blurb[]
Hope the Welcome Fairy helps children to make friends and settle in when they move to a new home. But when Jack Frost steals her magical items, children everywhere feel anxious and lonely. What's worse is Jack Frost steals Hope as well! Rachel and Kirsty must ask their new friends Gracie and Khadijah for help rescuing her - but will they manage to restore her magic before it's too late?
Appearance[]
Hope has long dark brown hair in two plaits with yellow ribbons and a flower necklace. She wears a white t-shirt underneath a flower patterned dress and sandals. Her wings are pointed and light blue tinted.

The Glitter Welcome Banner[]
A girl name Gracie Adebayo has moved in to the Hawthorn Grove neighbourhood of Wetherbury Village and befriends the girl next door, name Khadijah Khan. As they're talking to each other across from their bedrooms, they spot a glowing shape whiz past them. They follow it to park but lose sight of it. Rachel and Kirsty enter the park and start playing with Gracie and Khadijah.
But when Gracie and Khadijah hear a silvery voice, they follow the voice to a bush, where Rachel and Kirsty are talking to a fairy. The fairy named Hope the Welcome Fairy, says it's time Gracie and Khadijah know the secret of the fairies too and that it's her job to look over children who are moving to a new home.
She shows the girls a scene that happened earlier that day of Jack Frost and his Goblins trashing her house and stealing her objects. The four girls agree to look for them.
Hope, Gracie and Khadijah look in the show home while Rachel and Kirsty look around the other side of the estate. In the show home, a group of goblins are messing around and they notice one of the goblins has the banner. Gracie turns on a CD player and starts a conga line, which the goblins eagerly join.
Rachel and Kirsty find them and carefully take the banner from the goblins as they conga around the house. With her banner back, Hope takes the girls to Fairyland where King Oberon and Queen Titania welcome Gracie and Khadijah and give them necklaces of their own with an upgrade so all four girls can touch their lockets and speak to each other wherever they are. The girls say goodbye as they're transported back to the human world.
The Fluffy Teddy Bear[]
The next day, Gracie and Khadijah meet at their garden fence and decide to explore their new neighbourhood more, where they meet Rachel and Kirsty again. They notice the kids in the neighbourhood can't find their way back home because Hope's teddy bear is missing. The girls help them all get back to their houses and then find Hope inside a postbox.
She takes them to the cold part of Fairyland, close to Jack Frost's Ice Castle where the Trolls have set up their home. They notice the teddy bear tied to the bridge, as Jack Frost is trying to make the trolls go away, only, the magic has made them feel at home. As they go on the bridge to get it, a troll emerges from under it and takes the teddy bear to the main square.
The fairies head to the main square, passing lots of houses made out of boulders. They spot the teddy bear tied to a statue but as they approach it, a net gets thrown over them and they've been captured by the trolls.
They take the fairies to their leader, who is by the bridge bonding with Jack Frost over their hatred for fairies. They're having such a good time, the chief troll orders her trolls to get them refreshments and food while they chat about fairies.
The trolls holding the fairies captive become hungry and decide to tell the fairies that they eat fairies so they shouldn't try to escape. This doesn't work though, so as soon as the trolls go to get some food, the fairies just fly off. They speed to the statue in the main square where the teddy bear is still tied, untie it and Hope sends the girls back to the human world.
The Sunflower Necklace[]
Rachel, Kirsty, Gracie and Khadijah and their families meet each other at Hawthorn Grove's welcome party, but the girls notice that no one from Wetherbury Village is talking to the people from Hawthorn Grove. They find Hope again, who stresses the importance of her necklace to them again.
They see a family at the party causing trouble, which turns out to be a group of goblins. Jack Frost comes over to them and orders to speak to Hope because he used the necklace to throw an unwelcome party for the trolls but it's only made them feel more welcome. When Hope says her necklace doesn't work like that, he takes her back to his Ice Castle.
The girls use the fairy dust in their lockets to go to the Ice Castle and watch the unwelcome party. The chief troll makes a toast to Jack Frost for the lovely party after their village got destroyed by a storm (sent by him of course), so they built their new village as close to the Ice Castle as possible just to annoy him. She and Jack Frost agree for the trolls to help them defeat the fairies when the goblins aren't able to and that Hope should be kept prisoner. Impulsively, Rachel and Kirsty fly out of their hiding places to protest but are frozen in place.
Gracie and Khadijah fly away to Goblin Grotto and hear Hope singing sadly in a hut. They free her but Jack Frost catches up with them and shoots a freezing spell at them. Khadijah holds out a mirror, reflecting the spell and freezing Jack Frost instead. The fairies go back to the Ice Castle to rescue Rachel and Kirsty, whose ice statues are being guarded by a troll.
Hope turns Gracie's voice into a troll-like voice and announces the food's nearly gone. The guard leaves and Hope defrosts Rachel and Kirsty. They fly back to The Fairyland Palace where the King and Queen thank them for their help. The girls are sent back to the human world where the welcome party is in full swing and everyone has a good time.
