Everyone on Kirsty's street has got together to have a street party, with games, booths selling things to raise money for charity and a barbecue. Kirsty helps unpack and set up the books her family will be selling from their booth and then she and Rachel wander around the street, keeping an eye out for goblins. There’s no sign of trouble, so the girls get in line for the tombola game manned by Kirsty’s neighbour Mr. Cooper. A little girl ahead of them says she wants a cuddly toy and pulls a winning ticket whose number matches a blue plastic apron. Before Mr. Cooper or the girl notice the apron, it turns into a soft toy cat in a burst of blue sparkles. Rachel and Kirsty look around for the Party Fairy who must be nearby and Jasmine the Present Fairy calls out from atop a string of flags. She, like the girls, is keeping watch to make sure the party doesn't get ruined, so a little boy crying catches her attention. The boy has just pulled a toy plane with broken wings from a barrel of sawdust at the lucky dip stall. The man running it gives him two more free tries, bringing out a moldy apple and a toy car without wheels, then gives the boy a bat and ball set from the hook-a-duck game he’s also running. Wondering aloud if someone’s playing a prank, the man starts digging through the sawdust and Rachel distracts him talking about the hook-a-duck while Kirsty stands to block anyone’s view of Jasmine sprinkling fairy dust into the barrel. A goblin hiding in the barrel startles both of them when he makes a grab for Jasmine’s bag, he misses and runs to hide behind the stall.
Jasmine’s hands are shaking with fright and she drops her bag right into the sawdust. Rachel notices and she and Kirsty both ask the man if they can do the lucky dip. Kirsty pulls out a little blue kite and the man hurries to assist someone having trouble with the hook-a-duck while Rachel digs for the bag. The goblin reappears and makes another grab for it when Rachel pulls it out, then begins chasing both girls to the Tates' house. They shut the door and Kirsty runs to the living room with Jasmine, leaving Rachel to guard the door.
Soon, Rachel hears the goblin crawling through the catflap in the other door and calls out to warn Kirsty and Jasmine. Kirsty asks Jasmine to leave a trail of fairy dust into the empty book box from earlier, planning to trap the goblin inside. Jasmine’s magic turns the box shiny blue with a gold ribbon and she and Kirsty hide behind the sofa as the goblin and Rachel enter the room. The fairy dust trail fools Rachel as well as the goblin, but Kirsty hops up to shut him in the box and Jasmine magically ties it with the ribbon, before sending it to Jack Frost’s Ice Castle with magic.
Just then, the promised magical rainbow from the The Fairy Godmother appears to take the girls to the Jubilee in Fairyland. A burst of golden sparkles brings them straight to the Party Workshop as fairies, where all seven Party Fairies are there to greet them. The jubilee setup is beautiful and magical and the girls are amused to see the goblin who went after Cherry's’s party bag proudly standing by a beautifully iced cake replica of the King and Queen's palace. Phoebe transforms the girls’ outfits into long, sparkly dresses, Kirsty’s is pink and gold and Rachel’s is lilac and silver. The King and Queen arrive in a carriage pulled by unicorns and driven by Bertram the frog and everyone shouts “Surprise!” at the Fairy Godmother’s command. Everyone thanks the girls for keeping the party preparations safe from Jack Frost and the Jubilee commences, the best, most magical party the girls have ever attended. Before the girls leave on another rainbow, Jasmine and Cherry hand them each a bagful of presents from all the Party Fairies.
Back home as humans in their normal clothes, the girls open the bags to find a themed present from each fairy, including a pretty jewellery box from Jasmine to put everything else in. That night (the last night of Rachel’s visit), they discover that the boxes can play music.
