Kathryn the PE Fairy (U.S. name: Kathryn the Gym Fairy) is the fourth and last fairy in the School Days Fairies series.

Kirsty and Rachel must help Kathryn the PE Fairy find her magical star badge. Jack Frost has stolen it and PE lessons everywhere are a disaster! Can the girls get it back from him before the school inspector arrives?

Kathryn has long, brown wavy hair with a fringe, held back by a pink ribbon. She wears a pink sports jacket over white skinny jeans patterned with red hearts and lilac, white and orange trainers. Her wings are pointed and pink-tinted.
Her U.S outfit has pink hearts on her jeans.

Rachel and Kirsty are sitting in assembly and the headteacher Miss Patel introduces the school inspector, Mrs Best. She will be observing the girls’ class first, so later, everyone gets into their PE kit, apart from the Goblins, who turn up in muddy green shirts and shorts. Mr Beaker explains an obstacle relay race, so everyone sets off but no one seems to be capable of doing anything properly. The goblins are whizzing through the course. Unsatisfied, Mrs Best gives them another chance tomorrow morning, so Mr Beaker decides to finish up. Kathryn the PE Fairy appears from under a cone and she hides in Kirsty’s pocket.
Mr Beaker addresses everyone, telling them to remember the obstacle course for tomorrow. He asks the two goblin students to demonstrate and while everyone’s watching them, the girls turn into fairies and observe the goblins to see where they’re keeping Kathryn’s badge. They see the goblins passing the gold star to each other when it’s the other’s turn. One goblin tucks it in his trainer as he begins the obstacle course, but sees the fairies and cries out, just as the bell rings.
Everyone goes inside to get changed and goblin tries to run away. He is hesitant to jump over a muddy ditch because he doesn’t want to get his trainers dirty. The fairies tease him that he’s too scared to jump, so he does, but lands in the mud, turning his beautiful clean trainers brown. Kathryn magics up a new pair of glittery green trainers and he gladly swaps. Kathryn retrieves her magic star from inside his old trainers and is overjoyed.
The next morning, the class does very well in the obstacle course, even the goblins. Rachel and Kirsty hear Kathryn calling to them and she magics them to Fairyland School, where the other School Days Fairies are leading King Oberon and Queen Titania around the school. Jack Frost and his goblins burst in, complaining about the low quality of Jack Frost’s Ice School. The fairies let them play on the trampolines and vaulting horses. The School Days Fairies thank the girls once again and send them back to school. The girls see their book reports, plant drawings and vehicle models on display. The goblin boys have returned back to Fairyland and Mrs Best gives Tippington School an outstanding rating.
