Lana is a young woman with long curly red hair and freckles. She carries a black skateboard with a flame down the middle and is seen wearing a backwards cap, trainers, shorts and an unbuttoned button up shirt.
Story[]
Lana is one of the best skateboarders in the world. She grew up in Port Pearl, a seaside town where Rachel and Kirsty's schools are taking part in the Gold Medal Games. The girls meet her in the morning, sitting in the skatepark where she learned to skate, and where the day's competition will later be held. She is one of the judges in the competition and greets the girls encouragingly. Jack Frost turns up in his disguise as Lightning Jack, and she reminds him that the sport is not about thinking you're better than others, but about having fun and forming good relationships with one another. At the end of the book, she gives one of Kirsty's classmates, Sean Plum, the gold medal.

“Clear the skatepark,” Jack Frost barked at Lana and the girls. “I’m Lightning Jack, and I need to practise. Clear off. You’ll never win anyway.”
