The class is in the school library and Mr Beaker asks everyone to pick a book to write a report about. Books start flying off the shelves, the words are jumbled up and some are glued shut. Rachel and Kirsty decide to look for the goblin pupils and they’re reading books aloud to each other. The girls see a glow coming from a bookshelf and go over to find Lydia the Reading Fairy inside a book. They decide to ask the goblins for Lydia’s gold star back, as if that will ever work, but they realise Jack Frost himself is in the library. He scares the goblins and tells them to give him the star, because he’s got his own biography ‘Fantastic Jack Frost, The Story of My Life’ but none of the goblins in his own school want to read it. Lydia uses her magic to follow Jack Frost as he magics himself back to the Ice Castle.

They find themselves in the castle library where Jack Frost is boringly reading his biography to a group of goblins. Lydia turns the girls into goblins and Rachel rings the school bell. The rest of the goblins leave for break time but Jack Frost seizes Rachel and Kirsty, since he saw what they did. He takes them to his office where they’ll miss out on playtime. He sets them work, to write a report about why his autobiography is the best book ever. The girls compliment him on his great book, but as he goes to sign copies for them, he sees Lydia trying to unpin the badge from his cloak. The girls chase Jack Frost chasing Lydia through the playground and they trip him up. He falls in the snow sandpit and Lydia takes her badge back. The girls turn back into fairies and bask in their success.

Jack Frost sends all his pupils back in the library to hear him read his autobiography and Lydia says she feels sorry for Jack Frost, because he wrote a whole book just for no one to care about it. She uses her magic to recite a spell (thats 12 whole lines in total) to change the Jack Frost books in the library to other genres and the goblins settle down reading, interested. The girls get their signed copies of Jack Frost’s autobiography and a goblin gives Jack Frost The Snow Queen to read. Lydia returns the girls to the school library and they decide to write their reports on ‘Jack Frost, The Story of My Life’.

Mr Beaker chooses Rachel to read her report out and the girls say how Jack Frost is their favourite character because he tries to be scary, but he’s funny without knowing it. When Adam starts to read out his report, Rachel whispers “I hope we can find the last magical gold star badge before the inspector arrives, or the whole visit will go wrong,” and Kirsty becomes self-aware saying “don’t you know? All fairy stories end happily ever after.”
