Mariana the Goldilocks Fairy is the second fairy in the Storybook Fairies series.
Blurb[]
Mariana the Goldilocks Fairy looks after the magical story of The Three Bears. But when Jack Frost steals her enchanted porridge spoon, the story is full of horrid goblins! Rachel and Kirsty must get the spoon back and stop the tale from being ruined.
Appearance[]
Mariana has shoulder-length, wavy blonde hair tied with a red ribbon. She wears a light blue pinafore dress over a white top and red shoes. Her wings are red-tinted and half-rounded and also half-pointed.

Kirsty and Rachel are walking to the Story Barge for a puppet show by Alana Yarn. Along the way they talk about the Storybook Picnic they had just come from. On board the Barge, they find the upper deck full of children and books and sit down to read. Alana invites the children to the lower deck and asks them to guess what story she is going to tell by revealing puppets. Rachel guesses Goldilocks and Kirsty says the Three Bears. Alana tells her she's not right and pulls out goblin puppets. The other children laugh at the girls. While examining the props, Kirsty accidentally moves a porridge bowl and Mariana the Goldilocks Fairy flies out from underneath. She tells them the goblins are in her story and whisks the three of them inside it.
They all arrive outside the Three Bears cottage and see Goldilocks walking out. She tells them the cottage is in a mess and walks off. The girls and Mariana find she is correct and find muddy goblin footprints but also muddy prints leading them to the three bears. They ask the bears what's wrong and they explain they were playing when they chose to go home and pack a picnic for lunch. They heard the goblins making noise and were scared off, leaving Baby Bear feeling hungry.
The fairies lead the bears back home but the goblins have returned. Feeling fearful, the bears stay in the woods while the fairies watch the goblins eat the porridge, sit in the chairs and bounce on the beds. They try to grab the magic spoon but one of the goblins sees them and they run downstairs to the kitchen. Rachel and Kirsty start a food fight with the goblins using the porridge.
In the midst of the fight, the goblins slip and the magic spoon flies out of the goblin's hand into Kirsty's who passes it to Mariana. The bears return and the goblins run off scared. Mariana cleans the cottage and magics up the bears picnic, before thanking the girls with porridge. She sends them back to the Story Barge as Kirsty sees Goldilocks coming up to the cottage. Rachel and Kirsty are picked to perform the puppet show alongside others.
