Jack Frost's Poem[]
Melissa says if you join in,
It doesn't matter if you win.
What rubbish! In this competition,
Winning is my one ambition.
I'm not wasting time on training,
Hard work makes me start complaining.
I'll steal her things so I can cheat,
And laugh at all the fools I beat!

The Magical Gold Medal[]
Rachel, Kirsty, and their parents are on the way to Rainspell Island for the Rainspell Games. While they wait for their taxis to their holiday cottages, the girls see the competition stewards on the beach. When they get in their taxis, Rachel sees a fairy on the sign of the Tates’ taxi. She and Kirsty go to unpack Rachel’s suitcase and she talks about the fairy she saw. The fairy herself appears as Melissa flies out of the suitcase. She explains how her magic objects have been stolen and not only the Rainspell Games, but the Fairyland Games will be in jeopardy unless they get them back. Rachel guesses it’s Jack Frost and the Goblins’ work, so Melissa unpacks Rachel’s suitcase and Mrs Walker lets them go off on their own. The girls go to the beach and notice a group of stewards not working - they’re goblins. But before they can follow them, the chief organiser, Leo Read, introduces the competition. Melissa sees the goblins have her gold medal, so the girls decide to watch before doing anything else.
Leo announces the plan for the competition - beach volleyball, trampolining and then diving. Jack Frost appears on the stage as the last-minute athlete. The beach volleyball game begins and the girls watch how Jack Frost jumps higher and hits the ball more often than the others. He’s also wearing a comically large foam hand to hit the ball easily, but no one seems to mind. Eventually, the competitors and stewards notice and the girls begin to worry the other competitors will start cheating too. Rachel does a cartwheel to distract the goblins while Kirsty tries to grab the medal from the goblins. She has another idea, and taunts the goblins that they can’t do cartwheels better than Rachel. The goblins attempt cartwheeling too and soon enough, the medal falls down the goblin’s head. Melissa zooms out and grabs it. Jack Frost’s team has won, but the next two teams are playing fairly.
The Daring Dumbbells[]
All the spectators and the girls walk up to the trampoline area. The girls watch Jack Frost elbow a burly man, who bursts into tears. Melissa explains the competitors won’t feel fit and strong without her dumbbells. The goblin stewards earlier are now wearing ‘THE FROST - WINNER!’ t-shirts and begin cheerleading. One of the goblins is holding the dumbbells, and when they set Kirsty approaching, they run away. Melissa turns the girls into fairies so they can watch the trampoline competition and the goblins at the same time. They see Jack Frost is already dressed in his diving costume, which isn’t allowed, but the stewards are too scared to say anything. When all the competitors start bouncing, they all begin complaining about various body parts hurting, all except Jack Frost. He reaches the required height and moves onto the diving section. Meanwhile, the eliminated competitors are lying on the ground sleeping. The competing competitors climbing up the diving platform become exhausted halfway up.
The goblins, apart from the one with the dumbbells, are running the aid station but are squabbling over the fruit. Melissa magics up lots more delicious food on the table and the goblins go over to feast, apart from the one with the dumbbells. He desperately wants to join in, and when a food fight breaks out, he throws the dumbbells aside and joins in. Melissa picks them up and they’re safe again. During all of this, Jack Frost has done two perfect dives and everyone else has done belly-flops. When he approaches to do his final jump, he spots Melissa flying in front of him with her dumbbells and becomes angry, stumbling and falling of, painfully belly-flopping into the water. He sulkily gets out off the water, disappears behind the aid station and disappears back to Fairyland.
The Sparkling Stopwatch[]
Melissa takes the girls to Fairyland where King Oberon, Queen Titania and throngs of fairies have gathered by the lake. The three fairies fly above the crowd searching for Jack Frost or a goblin. But Melissa needs to introduce the competition, so she flies on stage and starts to address the audience but a fairy steward rushes onstage to explain things aren’t ready yet. Rachel and Kirsty rack their brains to think of places where Jack Frost might be. Everyone hears a whistle and all the competitors dive into the water, with everything ending in chaos. Rachel realises Jack Frost must be sitting on a cloud to see everything going on.
The girls fly upwards to find Jack Frost sitting on a cloud, holding a whistle and a sandwich. Melissa starts the race properly and Jack Frost spots Rachel and Kirsty spying on him. They ask him to give it back but unsurprisingly he refuses. The girls sit on the cloud with him, asking why he has to be more mean. Jack Frost replies "watching the fairies suffer is much more fun than anything else I can imagine". As the spell-work challenge goes wrong, Jack Frost can’t stop himself laughing. Kirsty has an idea and the girls fly down to collect piles of leftover fairy dust from the spell-work challenge. They fly back up to Jack Frost and chuck it in his face, stunning him. He drops the stopwatch over the edge of the cloud and the girls speedily fly to catch it. Jack Frost flies the cloud down to meet them and Rachel shows him the stopwatch in her hand. Kirsty refuses to be scared by him, so he leaves back to Rainspell Island, since he won two of the competitions.
The girls return the stopwatch to Melissa, and everything becomes right again. Olympia the Games Fairy wins the spell-work competition, and the girls join Melissa to watch the final challenge - the flying competition. Gemma the Gymnastics Fairy wins it, and the King and Queen present her the medal. Melissa takes the girls back to Rainspell to watch the Rainspell Games awards ceremony. Leo announces the winner is Ethan Hauxwell, and Jack Frost becomes disappointed and stomps away. The girls deduce that the stewards must’ve realised Jack Frost cheated, and eliminated him. Melissa thanks Rachel and Kirsty and disappears. Then they join their parents, who ask them if they’d take part in the Rainspell Games one day. The girls shake their heads and Rachel whispers to Kirsty "we’ve taken part in a game of our own today, it was called ‘Help the Fairies’." and then Kirsty hammers it in replying "and we had so much fun with our friends. When everyone plays fair, we’re all winners".
