Jack Frost's Poem[]

I'm fed up with Christmas and tinsel galore

This sweet festive fuss is a drag and a bore

The fairies have fooled and made me look bad

But this year I'll make them feel silly and sad!

This Christmas no stockings will fill up with toys

No mince pies and candy for good girls and boys

For I have a plan that will take hope away

And leave stockings empty this dark Christmas Day.

The Magical Mince Pie[]

"I love making mince pies," said Rachel Walker

"I love making mince pies," said Rachel Walker

Rachel, Kirsty and their parents are staying at a rented out cottage for Christmas and the girls are making mince pies. Weirdly, Mr Tate finds the butter in Buttons’ bed. Then they can’t open the jar of mincemeat and asks Mr Walker, who opens it with difficulty. When the girls return to the kitchen, they find it ransacked and spot a goblin hiding. Buttons chases him away and the girls decide that if a goblin’s nearby, they should alert the fairies.

Using their fairy dust lockets, they go to Fairyland and are greeted by Crystal the Snow Fairy. She leads them to The Christmas Grotto where all the Christmas fairies hang out. Inside, Cheryl the Christmas Tree Fairy greets them and leads them to the rest of the Christmas fairies crowding around one they haven’t met before being Natalie the Christmas Stocking Fairy.

She explains how she found her jewellery box of magic objects empty and replays an image of Jack Frost stealing the objects in the mirror. The other Christmas fairies leave to alert the King and Queen while the girls and Natalie go to Jack Frost’s Ice Castle.

On the road to the castle, they find two goblins arguing over what’s in the mince pie. Natalie confronts them and Rachel recognises one of the goblins as the one in their cottage. He shyly admits he only wanted to find out how they’re made, so the fairies explain the ingredients of a mince pie.

The goblins are disgusted so Kirsty suggests magicking up mince pies made of things the goblins would like. The goblins give back the mince pie and hurry off to the Ice Castle. Natalie is very happy and fills their lockets up again, leaving the girls back at the cottage to continue making their mince pies.

The Enchanted Stocking[]

"I'm sorry that we couldn't find your stockings," said Mr Walker

"I'm sorry that we couldn't find your stockings," said Mr Walker

The Walkers and Tates are watching the snowfall on Christmas Eve. Mr Walker can’t find their Christmas stockings. Buttons runs upstairs and the girls follow, seeing the fireplace in the sitting room die out and Natalie shoot out from inside it. She informs them she thinks the magic stocking is nearby, so Rachel and Kirsty pull on their boots and coats and head outside. They find goblin footprints in the snow circling a tree.

After some thinking, they realise the goblins must’ve climbed up the tree, so they race back inside and run into their bedroom where two goblins are pulling at the girls’ stockings, Buttons tugging back. One of the goblins is wearing Natalie’s stocking as a hat and the girls, goblins and Buttons engage in a tug-of-war over the stockings, until they rip into pieces.

Rachel solemnly holds up the ruined stockings, but the goblin take a shine to their ripped-ness. Rachel and Kirsty decide to make the ultimate sacrifice by giving their beloved but ruined stockings to the goblins in exchange for Natalie’s.

After much discussion, the goblins agree and gleefully leave with their stockings. The girls overhear them talking about the candy cane Jack Frost has back at the castle and they realise they’re talking about Natalie’s magic candy cane.

Rachel thanks her dog for helping get the stocking back. Natalie magics them them up new ones and they hang them on the mantelpiece. They set out the mince pies they made and a glass of milk for Santa Claus and carrots for the reindeer. Natalie turns them into fairies and they set off for the Ice Castle.

The Charmed Candy Cane[]

There were all sorts of things piled up around the room

The fairies fly faster than ever to the castle, since Natalie’s charmed their wings to flap faster. They arrive to find some goblins guarding the battlements, but they’re wrapped in so many clothes, scarves and hats, they can’t see. Therefore, the fairies sneak through the trapdoor into the castle.

Inside, they fly through corridors looking in rooms full of various things. Soon enough, they’ve searched all the rooms and the only remaining room is the Great Hall. They manage to slide their way into the hall behind a goblin chef carrying bogmallows. The hall is decorated poorly, goblins singing carols out of tune and some others try to figure out which objects they should rub together to start a fire.

Natalie notices a group of starved-looking goblins gazing at Jack Frost’s throne, they want to eat the candy cane hidden in his pocket. After being caught, the goblins juggle the candy cane around and the girls jump into try and grab it too, but Jack Frost pulls it away. He takes one lick at it and recoils in disgusted, tossing it into the corner. Natalie grabs it and rejoices, but Jack Frost doesn’t look too angry.

All he wanted was a nice Christmas stocking. Natalie casts a spell which makes a stocking for Jack Frost and all the goblins appear in their hands.

Now everyone is happy, Natalie thanks the girls once again and sends them back to their cottage. They notice their stockings have been filled up already as it’s Christmas Day. The girls head off to bed and wish each other a merry Christmas.
