Niamh the Invitation Fairy is the first fairy in the Birthday Party Fairies series.

The Birthday Party Fairies are throwing Queen Titania a royal birthday party and everyone in Fairyland is invited! But jealous Jack Frost has stolen Niamh the Invitation Fairy's magical invitation, ruining the party plans. She needs Khadijah, Kirsty and Gracie's help to get it back in time to save the celebration!

Niamh has long ginger hair in two plaits with green glasses. She wears a purple t-shirt scattered with gold stars underneath denim dungarees and purple and white starry shoes. Her wings are pointy and green tinted.

Gracie and Khadijah are round Kirsty's house for a barbecue. Gracie asks for help to fill in her party invitations as it is her birthday later that week. As they do so, Kirsty hears the letterbox and goes to see what it is. A fairy falls through and introduces herself as Niamh the Invitation Fairy. Gracie and Khadijah come into the hall and Niamh gives each of them an invite to Queen Titania's birthday. They then hear a sound and return to the living room to see two Goblins going through Gracie's invitations. The goblins see them and quickly leave through the open window.
Then the invitations suddenly sparkle and the other three Birthday Party Fairies appear and explain that Jack Frost had stolen their charms and he is planning to overthrow King Oberon and Queen Titania so he and his sister will become king and queen instead, using the assistance of the fairies magic. Niamh asks the other fairies to go back to Fairyland and tell Queen Titania. They disappear and Kirsty says she saw one of the goblins with Niamh's invitation and they're taking it to Partyland. Niamh shrinks the girls to fairy size and they travel to Partyland.
There, they search for the goblins from above and hear them at the dinosaur area, freaking out over a robot Velociraptor. Gracie asks Niamh to magic them into the robot's mouth so the goblins could see them and the goblins run off to a slide. They slide down it and the fairies ask for the invitation back, but the goblins climb up a rope ladder to a zip line and climb aboard a dinghy in the water rapids ride. The fairies hold on to the dinghy to prevent the goblins from capsizing until the ride stops. Niamh turns the girls back into humans and they plead with the goblins, who run off yet again, this time to a circus big top.
The girls enter and see the goblins dressed as clowns. They separate in different directions, with Gracie and Niamh following the shorter goblin. They enter the mirror maze, navigating the building. The goblin bumps into a mirror, losing his grip on the rainbow invitation. Gracie finds it and gives it back to Niamh. They return to Kirsty and Khadijah, where the other goblin is in the unicorn area. Niamh takes them all back home to Kirsty's house and returns them to human size. Kirsty says she'll tell Rachel what happened and Niamh thanks them and says goodbye.
Trivia[]
- Niamh is clumsy as she first enters Kirsty's house through the letterbox and falls on the doormat.
- This is the first book in the franchise to not feature Rachel.
