Nur the Vlogger Fairy is the 61st fairy in the Holiday Special Fairies series.

Nur the Vlogger Fairy is planning Fairyland's biggest vlogger meet-up ever - Magic Vlog Con! But jealous Jack Frost wants to become a vlogging superstar and has stolen Nur's magical objects. Without them, vloggers can't make fun videos. Nur needs Rachel, Kirsty, Gracie and Khadijah's help to get her enchanted objects back and show Jack Frost that vlogging is for expressing yourself, not becoming famous. Can the fairy friends save Magic Vlog Con?

The Lucky Light[]
The girls on a video call!
Rachel is sitting in her room, waiting for a video chat with Kirsty, Gracie and Khadijah to start. The girls’ favourite TV show is hosting a vlogging competition, where young people are asked to make vlogs for the chance to be featured on the show. Mrs Walker is in the room and she asks Rachel to explain what a vlog is. Then the video connects and Rachel’s friends appear on the screen. Mrs Walker says hello and leaves them to it. The girls discuss what they want to talk about in their vlogs. Rachel is going to talk about Buttons, Kirsty is going to talk about her favourite books, Gracie is going to make a music vlog and showing people that having one arm doesn’t stop her playing guitar and lastly, Khadijah tells them that she will be filming her Nana cooking, although she does express that she wishes they could film their vlog together. Gracie suggests they all end their videos with the same catchphrase so they’re linked together.
Jack Frost joins the video call!
Just then, a new attendee asks to join. It’s Nur the Vlogger Fairy! Rachel lets the fairy into the call and she greets them, explaining that her headscarf is called a hijab. She wants to invite the girls to the first Magic Vlog Con in Fairyland the following day. Gracie is amazed, disbelieving that fairies vlog on the internet. Nur tells her that you need to know where to look. Suddenly, Rachel spots something moving outside of the window in Nur’s cottage. The figure appears properly and the girls see it’s a goblin! Nur runs outside and Jack Frost’s face replaces the fairy’s. He tells the girls he is going to be the most famous vlogger in the world and then disappears. Rachel calls for Nur, who finally returns, her eyes red with tears. Jack Frost and the goblins have stolen her three magical items: a ring light, a camera and a microphone. The girls open their lockets and transport themselves to Nur’s cottage in Fairyland by flying through their computer screens.

The others each try to cheer up Nur while Rachel tries to think of a plan. Nur fills up their lockets in the meantime. The fairy is grateful they are offering to help, but says they could spend the time working on their vlogs instead. Rachel says she feels like she has no ideas and Nur confirms it’s because her lucky ring light is missing. The blonde thinks the best place to check first is Jack Frost’s Ice Castle and they set off.
Outside the castle, Khadijah spots Jack Frost through a window and Nur recognises the glow of her lucky light. The girls fly up and hear the Ice King through the window. He is practising a vlog about how he is the best vlogger in the world. Gracie makes a pun which makes Khadijah laugh. Rachel says they need to make him leave the room so they can take the light and Kirsty remembers the trap door they have used to enter the castle before. Rachel and Gracie set off, while Kirsty, Khadijah and Nur stay by the window to grab the light as soon as Jack Frost leaves.

Strangely, the trapdoor is open, but Rachel and Gracie enter. They spot a strange button on the wall that Rachel has never seen before. They call up the stairs to Jack Frost and the king thunders down the stairs, calling for his goblin guards. He shouts at his guards and the two fairies make a break for it. However, behind them, they hear Jack Frost laughing before he presses the button. An alarm sounds, the words ‘Fairy Alert! Fairy Alert!’ filling the air. An icy net drops from the ceiling and traps the girls!
Outside, the other three hear the alarm and are worried. They see a net drop inside and realise they have narrowly avoided being trapped. Jack Frost returns with some goblins, boasting about how he has captured two fairies and ordering his goblins to put them in the dungeon. He also tells them to put back the nets so the castle will be ready when more fairies come to save the first. Kirsty and Khadijah know this is their only chance to get in before the nets are back up and they tell Nur to wait there while they also go through the trapdoor. They bump into some goblins, who shout for Jack Frost, who appears and grinning, presses the Fairy Alarm. However, they are yet to replace the nets so nothing happens except the loud noise. The two fairies dart away back outside and meet back with Nur, who has got her ring light.
They fly away and hide behind a tree. Although they have the light back, they all feel pretty sad because Rachel and Gracie are still trapped. Kirsty tells Nur to bring her light back to The Fairyland Palace, knowing that Queen Titania will keep watch over them in her Seeing Pool. Nur isn’t happy to leave them, but she knows it’s important to protect the ring light, so she goes. Kirsty and Khadijah sit below the tree and Khadijah says she wishes she was brave like Gracie. Kirsty tells her she always thought the same about Rachel, but has since realised that they’re both brave but in different ways. She gently offers to take Khadijah home, knowing other fairies will help save their friends, but Khadijah disagrees at once. Kirsty tells her that being brave is being scared but doing it anyway and they start to make a plan.
The Cool Camera[]

An hour later, Khadijah and Kirsty have circled the entire Ice Castle and found that goblins are guarding all of the entrances. They know that even if they sneak in, they’ll be trapped by the Fairy Alarm. Suddenly a strange squeaking noise reaches them and Khadijah notices two goblins pulling a cart full of strange green clouds. She has an idea to hide in there and sneak in and Kirsty agrees. The goblins stop walking to complain about how much they ache and the girls take the opportunity to hide in the bogfluff.
The cart is rolled into the castle and into the kitchen and Khadijah and Kirsty listen to the goblins talking for a bit before the sounds stop. Kirsty pokes her head out to check if the coast is clear and then calls Khadijah to join her in the empty kitchen. Kirsty recognises the room and remembers the way to the dungeon. She leads Khadijah and they shiver as they pass another Fairy Alarm button. Finally, they reach the dark dungeon and call out into the gloom for their friends. Gracie and Rachel reply at once and the other two untie them. The four girls all open their lockets and transport themselves home.

Back in their four houses, the girls are still on a video call as no time has passed. They say goodbye and each try to begin filming their vlogs. Gracie starts to record and gets through a couple sentences before her camera stops working. She tries a couple times, different things going wrong each time. Her camera starts to whir and Nur comes sliding out of the lens. Queen Titania has told her where the girls are. Gracie explains how her kit keeps messing up and Nur says it’s because her cool camera is still missing. Nur uses Gracie’s locket to contact the other girls and tells them that Jack Frost is in the human world and looking for revenge. Khadijah is scared but Gracie feels angry. Just then, Rachel calls through her locket that Jack Frost is in a park in Tippington. Nur uses her fairy magic to turn Gracie into a fairy and then transports them to where Rachel is.
The blonde is hiding behind a tree with Buttons, watching Jack Frost record a vlog, one of his goblins holding the camera. Nur and Gracie appear in a knothole in the tree and Rachel breathes a sigh of relief. Nur recognises that Jack has her camera. She turns Rachel into a fairy and she kisses Buttons on the nose before the fairy uses her magic to send him back home.

The girls overhear Jack’s vlog. He is planning to take Rachel prisoner as part of the video, but just as he is speaking, an old woman comes and sits on the park bench beside him. He tells her to move and she tells him he’s being rude. Nur is upset because Jack Frost is giving vloggers a bad name. The old lady does not move and Jack Frost stomps off. It is then that he realises he can no longer see Rachel and decides to try taking a different person prisoner.
Khadijah’s voice suddenly comes through the lockets. The evil king has appeared in her kitchen! The goblin is still filming him and she is relieved her Nana has stepped out. The wooden spoon in her hands suddenly feels heavier and she looks down to see Gracie, Rachel and Nur sitting on it. They notice that the vlogging equipment has been similarly pesky here. Jack Frost tells them he only has to touch one thing in the room and the whole place will fill with ice, freezing all four girls. He begins the magic and they watch the ice slowly creep around the room. Nur is in a panic because she does not know a spell that can stop it. Khadijah suddenly realises that heat can melt ice and she opens the oven door, allowing the heat to blast out. Jack Frost is angry that she’s ruining his vlog and disappears. Nur magics away the puddles, just as a message comes in from Kirsty on the lockets. Jack Frost is in her room!

Gracie, Khadijah, Rachel and Nur transport themselves to Kirsty’s room, appearing behind an angry Jack Frost, who is threatening the inhabitant. He tells her he will only let her go when King Oberon and Queen Titania let him take control of Fairyland. Nur uses her magic to make words appear on Kirsty’s mirror: ‘Keep him talking!’ they say. She explains that Samira the Superhero Fairy has made a vlog that explains that villains always like to reveal their evil plot, giving the hero time to escape. Kirsty continues asking Jack Frost about his plans, while the others make a plan of their own. They want a blanket to throw over his head, but the only one in the room is on Kirsty’s bed. Instead, they use Jack Frost’s own cloak to cover his head. The goblin keeps filming, laughing at his master.
The girls tell Queen Titania what happened
Nur uses her magic to transport all the girls to the Fairyland Palace, but just as she does so, Rachel notices Jack Frost bump into the goblin, who drops the camera. She darts to get it even as Nur shouts at her not to. Nur, Khadijah, Kirsty and Gracie appear back in the Palace but Rachel is not there. Nur says that Rachel broke through the wall of her travelling spell once it had already started. They explain the situation to Queen Titania, who takes a look in the Seeing Pool. Rachel is trapped inside a speck of fairy dust, she says and she borrows Nur’s wand, shaking out a couple of specks of dust. With her own wand, she recites a spell and Rachel begins to materialise. She is smiling and she has the camera! Nur gives her a tearful hug and the Queen replaces the fairy dust in their lockets. The four girls go home.
The Magic Microphone[]
Gracie wakes up
Gracie awakens excitedly, remembering that today is the day of Magic Vlog Con! Her mum sticks her head around the door and tells her that breakfast is ready. Gracie changes the flags in her window to signal ‘good morning’ and ‘magic today’ to Khadijah and heads downstairs. After breakfast, she tries to film her vlog again, but she starts to mess up her words. She realises that because Nur’s magic microphone is still missing, vloggers will struggle to get their words out. Then Khadijah knocks on her bedroom door, reminding her of the time. They hold hands and sprinkle the fairy dust from their lockets all over themselves, wishing to travel to Magic Vlog Con. For a moment, they bounce on Gracie’s bed like a trampoline and then the next moment, they are fluttering down into a large courtyard decorated for the convention. Kirsty and Rachel are already there.

Nur greets them and then suggests she might go back to the Ice Castle to find her magic microphone. Kirsty tells her not to, because she thinks that Jack Frost will show up at the convention to steal back the camera. Nur tells the girls that three frog footmen are guarding the lucky light and cool camera, so they can’t be stolen. Then, hundreds of fairies start to arrive. The four girls decide to stand one on each corner to keep an eye out for Jack Frost while still enjoying the convention. They spot a number of fairies they’ve helped in the past.
Nur steps onto stage and greets the crowd and they cheer. She introduces the topics of the day, before welcoming Tasha the Tap Dance Fairy and Josie the Jewellery-Making Fairy onstage to talk about gaining followers. Meanwhile, Kirsty speaks into her locket, telling the others she’s worried she’s made a mistake and that Jack Frost isn’t going to show up after all. But then Khadijah gasps and says she thinks he’s there. The others rush over to join her and she points into the crowd. The others can’t see anything and Khadijah feels her cheeks going red. But then she notices some fairies being pushed out of the way by an invisible force. For a moment, the girls are confused and turn back to Khadijah, who feels shy with all the attention. She quietly suggests that Jack Frost has made himself invisible and the other girls realise she’s right.
Onstage, Tasha and Josie are stumbling over their words and a goblin and Jack Frost start to heckle them. Nur asks them to be polite to the speakers, but the Ice King loudly says he’s bored and the girls can see his movement across the crowd towards the frog footmen and Nur’s magical items. Gracie zooms to fetch Nur and the other three rush to the frogs. Nur knows her magic isn’t strong enough to break Jack Frost’s spell and they all despair. Then, Khadijah spots some dandelions being trampled and points it out. Rachel gets an idea. If they can mark the goblins and Jack Frost, they’ll be able to see them. The girls suggest different methods, but it is Nur who comes up with glitter, magicking up five buckets of glitter and dumping them over where the villains are standing. The crowd turns and gasps and Rachel giggles that this is the most fabulous Jack Frost has ever looked. The frog footmen come together to defend Nur’s objects.
Jack Frost and goblins get caught in a net
Jack Frost realises the jig is up and turns visible again. He conjures stormy clouds and steps up onto one with his goblins. Nur begs him to return her microphone but he refuses. Suddenly, Khadijah has an idea, but it will require her to speak in front of the crowd. She’s scared, but knows it’s the only way. She climbs on stage and speaks to the assembled fairies, getting them to produce colourful ribbons to create a net to catch Jack Frost and his goblins. It works and Jack Frost is deposited on the floor in the ribbony net. He drops the microphone and Gracie goes to grab it. But a goblin kicks it out of the way and Jack Frost grabs her wrist. He performs a spell and the net disappears and the microphone is in his cloak. He boasts that he is stronger, but Rachel tells him that the fairies’ kindness is greater.
Nur tells Jack Frost that stealing her objects won’t make him a better vlogger, but staying at the convention and listening to the talks till. Gracie invites him to join in with Magic Vlog Con and he tells them he’s missing the correct tools. Brooke the Photographer Fairy offers a ring light, Keira the Film Star Fairy offers a camera and Destiny the Pop Star Fairy holds out a microphone. Other fairies offer helpful things to Jack Frost and goblins alike. The Ice King is shocked and he lets go of Gracie’s wrist. He genuinely wants to be a better vlogger. He takes the offered objects and gives Nur back her microphone and starts asking fairies for advice. Nur, Khadijah, Kirsty, Gracie and Rachel all share a celebratory hug. They can now enjoy the convention! Gracie tells the girls she has come up with the perfect catchphrase to end their vlogs: Stay Magical!
