The Spooky Jack-o'-lantern[]
Rachel and Kirsty are at Pumpkin Patch Farm for the day. They meet a girl named Polly, whose father, Mr Pine, bought the farm and moved out of the city to live in Wetherbury. The girls try to be friendly to her but she acts grumpy.
A dog suddenly runs past and Polly stares at it before her dad requests for her assistance. As they walk along the rows of pumpkins, the girls see a single, large carved pumpkin in the middle of some tall grass and a fairy flies out from inside.
The fairy introduces herself as Paula the Pumpkin Fairy and explains she's there to get their help. Using her magic, she uses the inside of the pumpkin as a theatre to show the girls what happened. Paula, Trixie and other fairies are in the middle of harvest when three goblins suddenly steal Paula's magic objects and run away. Jack Frost appears and declares that if he can't have pumpkins for his Halloween ball then neither should anyone else, before he disappears. Paula explains each object's job before Mr Pine announces the start of carving pumpkins.
However, most of the pumpkins have been picked and the carving tools have gone missing. Mr Pine asks a trio of boys if they have the tools since their pumpkins have been carved. The girls realise they're goblins since one of the pumpkins has a purple glow. The dog from earlier takes the magic jack-o'-lantern and runs away. The goblins chase after the dog and the girls and Polly follow. Polly trips and sprains her ankle and the girls help her back to the barn.
The goblins walk in carrying the magic jack-o'-lantern and complain. Kirsty cheers the visitors by suggesting making different designs instead of carving. The girls find the goblins messing about in the tall grass, until a pumpkin with a spooky face scares the goblins, revealing itself to be the dog. It grabs the magic jack-o'-lantern but let's Paula take it. Paula returns to Fairyland and the girls return to the barn.
The Creepy Cookie[]
Rachel and Kirsty are eating their lunch and go back into the barn to find Polly working on her own pumpkin, which she turned into Cinderella's carriage. The girls are admiring it until Joseph passes by and announces everyone is invited to his Halloween party.
Polly comments that her friend Hazel had a party the year before and becomes worried that she'll be forgotten and the girls suggest telling her dad and Polly does so.
A newspaper journalist, Ursula Pring, turns up and Polly shows the visitors around the Pumpkin Experience while her dad runs a food stall. The food is awful and the girls find Polly's pumpkin is glowing. Paula steps through the door and hides in Kirsty's pocket. She eagerly talks about pumpkins until Rachel suggests she'll show Ursula around the Pumpkin Experience while Kirsty and Paula find the creepy cookie.
Paula turns Kirsty into a fairy and they search for the goblins. In the barn, Rachel finds three goblins dressed as children and wearing Jack Frost masks. She notices the creepy cookie in one of their baskets and rushes to find Kirsty and Paula. Paula turns her into a fairy and the goblins walk into the barn. Paula tries to stop the goblins from scaring people and the girls yank her into a goblin's basket until he's startled and flings his basket.
The goblins run out of the barn and the visitors pick up the fallen sweets into the sweet jar and the girls, back to human size, spot the creepy cookie behind the apple bobbing game. Polly puts it into the jar and the dog suddenly runs through. Paula flies into the jar to retrieve the cookie and vanishes while the girls have one more magical object to find.
The Petrifying Pinata[]
The girls are tasting some of the pumpkin food when Kirsty sees Joseph crying, who explains his Halloween party is cancelled and Polly suggests using their barn. The girls and Polly help Joseph and his parents to decorate until Jack Frost arrives. The girls overhear him planning to take the Harvesters band to play at his ball. Joseph and his dad discover some of their games have problems and the pinata is missing its sweets.
When the Harvesters take a break, Jack Frost uses his magic to zap them to the Ice Castle and the girls follow using their Lockets and also summoning Paula. They enter the castle and find the ballroom. They find the Harvesters asleep in a corner and the girls distract Jack Frost while Paula returns the band to the human world.
Jack Frost becomes enraged at the missing band and a goblin gives him the magic pinata. As he walks away, Paula makes a face appear on the pinata and it scares Jack Frost. The pinata is thrown from him to a goblin to Rachel to Paula.
Jack Frost orders his goblins to catch the fairies, but Paula says she remembered that Trixie said Jack Frost had fun last Halloween and she decorates his ballroom, before sending out invitations.
Trixie arrives and thanks them and the fairies wish each other a Happy Halloween before the girls are sent back to the farm. They find the Harvesters are fine and Polly is cuddling the dog, saying her dad says she can keep her. Kirsty says it's brilliant and wishes her a Happy Halloween and Polly comments she's going to love Wetherbury.
