Kirsty's parents are attending a rock’n’roll dance party and she and Rachel have persuaded them to let the girls tag along. At the village hall, Mr Tate points out an Elvis impersonator who will be singing later and asks the girls to bring some records they’ve brought to Kirsty’s Uncle John, who’s in charge of music. As he sets up the record player, the Elvis impersonator announces a dance demonstration by a couple named Linda and Will Melling. Unfortunately they end up stumbling and colliding a lot because the magic Rock’n’Roll Ribbon is missing. Uncle John follows them backstage to make sure they’re all right, asking the girls to keep an eye on the records for him. Once he’s gone, Rebecca the Rock’n’Roll Fairy calls out to the girls from the spinning record, telling them her ribbon is somewhere nearby (but not close enough to the stage to help the Mellings), then hides in Rachel’s ponytail when Uncle John returns. He says the Mellings are practicing backstage and dancing very well, meaning the ribbon must be somewhere back there.
Backstage, the girls watch the Mellings dance for a moment before Rachel spots a green foot poking out of a props cupboard. Will and Linda finish their routine and leave to get some refreshment before trying their performance again, so the girls open the cupboard and find two Goblins. Rachel recognises the one who isn’t holding Rebecca’s purple ribbon as the goblin who took the Ballet Ribbon as the goblins begin to argue. Rebecca turns the girls into fairies so the goblin with the ribbon can’t reach them as he tries to freeze them and they manage to lead the two goblins close enough together that the one with the ribbon accidentally freezes his friend.
At that moment the Elvis impersonator onstage begins singing “Love Me Tender” and the goblin who isn’t frozen can’t help but dance along thanks to the ribbon’s influence. Rebecca uses her magic to move the frozen goblin back into the cupboard before following the dancing goblin closer to the stage, where the girls convince him not to sing along because “Elvis” might stop if he thinks the goblin would rather sing than listen. The goblin tells the girls that he and other goblins can’t sing well because they don’t have “magic singing sticks” like all the best singers on human TV have and Rachel realises he means microphones. This gives her an idea.
Pulling Rebecca and Kirsty aside, Rachel outlines her plan before asking the goblin if he wants to sing like Elvis. He agrees and the girls lead him to an empty room where Rebecca turns the girls human and conjures a magic microphone which Rachel demonstrates how to use, surprised at how much like Elvis she sounds. Kirsty offers the microphone in trade for the Rock’n’Roll Ribbon, warning the goblin that the fairy magic will disappear in a few hours. He doesn’t care and immediately makes the trade, Rebecca reattaches the ribbon to her wand just as the other goblin, now unfrozen, enters the room. Both goblins begin fighting over the microphone as soon as the second one hears what it can do and they run off, forgetting the ribbon completely. Rebecca says goodbye to the girls and returns to Fairyland in time for them to watch Will and Linda’s excellent dance performance.
