Rachel and Kirsty's last evening at Camp Stargaze is warm and clear, so all the children have brought sleeping bags outside the tents. Rachel dozes off and Kirsty watches the sky as the stars begin to whizz around and the moon blinks off and on. Jack Frost’s icy voice announces he has all the Twilight Fairies’ magic bags and then Kirsty wakes up, realising she had been dreaming. Rachel wakes up and reports a similar nightmare about Jack Frost. As they get up to fetch themselves hot chocolate, the girls hear two other people talking about nightmares of green creatures and cold voices. They realise that the last fairy who’s missing her magic bag is Sabrina the Sweet Dreams Fairy and Jack Frost and the Goblins must be invading people’s dreams.
A light moving through the trees leads the girls to the same glade of starry flowers they found a few nights ago, where Sabrina herself is asleep on some moss. The girls realise she’s been flying in her sleep and is still having a nightmare. Rachel gently wakes the fairy, who informs them that Jack Frost is guarding her bag of magic dream dust in his castle, since the goblins couldn’t keep hold of the other six bags. The girls accompany Sabrina to Fairyland, where they find all the fairies have been plagued with similar nightmares and then to Jack Frost’s Ice Castle.
There are plenty of irritable goblins guarding the place, but Sabrina sings a magical lullaby that puts all of them to sleep except for one that plugged his ears. This turns out to be lucky, for the goblin knows where in the castle Jack Frost is and they follow him when he runs to tell Jack Frost that fairies are invading the castle. In Jack Frost’s room, the three fairies find him sitting up in bed, looking very scared. He banishes the goblin from the room when the goblin starts to tell Sabrina what Jack Frost is scared of, but the fairies find out anyway when Jack Frost mentions “night monsters” that lurk in dark corners of the room and would attack if he fell asleep.
The girls and Sabrina flutter to every corner Jack Frost points out, finding no monsters. Sabrina promises to make sure that no such monsters will ever invade and that Jack Frost will have good dreams every night if Jack Frost will hand over her magic bag and he grudgingly agrees.
Sabrina sprinkles magic dream dust around Jack Frost’s room and he’s soon peacefully asleep. She sends more out the window to fix everyone’s dreams in Fairyland and the human world, then brings the girls to The Fairyland Palace to enjoy a small party with the rest of the Twilight Fairies and some of the other fairies as well but after a while, Rachel notices the fairies are getting sleepy, so she tells the king and queen that she and Kirsty need to leave. Titania gives each girl a magical pillow that will always grant them good dreams as a thank-you, then sends them back to Camp Stargaze where they are soon asleep themselves.
