At the large stadium where the Tippington Variety Show is to take place, Mr Walker gives Rachel and Kirsty some money for souvenirs. Each girl buys a small flag in the Tippington School colours and Kirsty finds Taylor the Talent Show Fairy when she unrolls hers. Taylor hides in Kirsty’s pocket right before two of Rachel’s friends walk by. She tells the girls that her magic star is somewhere nearby, but before they can do anything else, the two hosts of the show come onstage to applause from the audience.
Before they can finish their announcements, the curtain behind them rises to reveal Jack Frost. Taylor quickly shuts the curtain again with her magic and the girls hide behind the souvenir stand for her to turn them into fairies. They fly onto the stage, where Jack Frost is trying unsuccessfully to reopen the curtain. Changing tactics, Jack Frost fires icy lightning at a light fixture above him, breaking it. Taylor demands he give her star back and he begins swatting at the air and firing more ice bolts, trying to chase off the fairies. The girls keep him occupied as Taylor uses her magic to fix what he breaks, but a wayward ice bolt hits the curtain mechanism and causes the curtain to open and shut repeatedly. The audience laughs as Jack Frost hops around, swatting at the air, but the girls know they need to get him out of there, somehow, without the audience seeing. Rachel has an idea and zips over to a fog machine that Taylor has just repaired and turns it on. In the cloud of fog that ensues, Taylor is able to send Jack Frost, herself and the girls to Fairyland unseen.
They arrive in a small glade where the six other Showtime Fairies are about to rehearse for their own variety show. With Taylor’s star still attached to his cape, Jack Frost decides to ruin the fairy show instead of the human show and starts throwing their props around. The fairies ignore him, knowing they can undo any damage he causes once Taylor has her star back and try to think of how to get it. Kirsty suggests giving him what he wants being a bad performance. The fairies begin “rehearsing”, deliberately making as many mistakes as they can. Soon, Jack Frost is roaring with laughter and doesn’t see Alesha the Acrobat Fairy and Taylor making a trip wire from one of Alesha’s ribbons. When he stumbles, Kirsty and Rachel slip one of Darcey the Dance Diva Fairy’s spare tutus over his head, pinning his arms to his sides so Kirsty can take Taylor’s star from the front of his cape. Once Taylor has her star back, the girls help Jack Frost out of the tutu and point out that he does seem to have a talent of his own for comedy, combined with an admirable lack of stage fright. He leaves for his castle looking thoughtful.
At the Fairyland Talent Show, the girls get to announce the acts. First come Darcey and the seven Dance Fairies, performing a medley of different dance styles in a routine arranged by Darcey. Amelia the Singing Fairy sings a solo to a musical accompaniment from the seven Music Fairies, then Alesha does a routine paired with Gemma the Gymnastics Fairy. Next comes a magic act from Madison the Magic Show Fairy and a play starring Leah the Theatre Fairy and a few other fairies and then Jack Frost helps out by coating the stage in ice for Isla the Ice Star Fairy and Imogen the Ice Dance Fairy’s routine. For the finale, Rachel and Kirsty announce a comedy act. Jack Frost steps onto the stage followed by a few Goblins. Between Jack Frost’s jokes and the goblins’ cheerful clumsiness, the act is a huge success. At the end of the show, the performers take their bows and Queen Titania thanks the girls for providing their own talent and being friendly, helpful and courageous. After the applause, the queen returns the girls to the human world at the moment they left, where the Tippington Variety Show goes splendidly.
