Tippington Town is the town where Rachel Walker lives with her family.
Features[]
Tippington is quite a big town. Kirsty described it as a "metropolis compared to Wetherbury" in Rainbow Magic: Return to Rainspell Island.
There is the Morristown Aquarium near the town, two shopping centres called Tippington Fountains Shopping Centre and the Rainbow Shopping Centre, the Tippington Theatre and Swan Theatre. Shops in the Fountains Shopping Centre consists of Winter Woolies, Bath Bliss, Tippington Toys and the Book Nook. Tippington has its own Science Museum and a village hall where Mrs Walker's surprise party was held. There is also a community centre where fun events are held. Tippington Town has its own local radio station, Tippington Radio.
Shops consist of the Tippington Bookshop, a costume shop, Tall Toy Store (with four floors), Fashion Fun, Fabulous Flowers, Dancing Days and the Bakery. Tippington has a little cinema and a dental surgery. Specific roads consist of Tippington High Street, Twisty Alley and Tippington Lane, a cul-de-sac.
Tippington has a variety of sports places, such as tennis and netball courts, ice rinks, Funky Feet Dance Studios and a swimming pool. Tippington's healthcare services include Tippington Children's Hospital, City Hospital and the Greenacre Rest Home for the elderly.
There is a park, another park called Windy Hollow Park and a skate park next to it, plus an Adventure Playground. The Oval Park is for roller skaters and skateboarders. Rachel attends Tippington School. Every summer, The Fernandos' Fabulous Funfair is held on the school playing field. In the middle of the town, there is a patch of land that was eventually turned into the Peace Garden by the community. There is another park behind Rachel's house called Spinney Park.
Castle Springs Ballet School and Tip-Top Castle lie on the edge of Tippington. As well as the castle, there is Tippington Manor, which has an adventure playground with a big slide and a treehouse. The town has a Clock Tower, a botanical garden as well as a beautiful Japanese garden. There is a 'haunted' house where the community Halloween party was held. Hillfields Farm is a Christmas tree farm.
There is also a bubbling brook, riding stables and Buttercup Farm. Cherrywell Village, Harton Town and Cooke Stadium are quite close by.
