Khadijah and Gracie are happily kayaking at Rainbow Lake National Park. Khadijah is daydreaming about their previous adventures with Helen and Aria, whilst Gracie shakes her back to the present, reminding her they should be keeping an eye out for another bottle containing a fairy. As they look, two other kayakers, twins Megan and Alice ask what they're looking at. Khadijah tells them they're looking at some ducklings and Gracie starts making puns. Megan spots something in the reeds and Khadijah and Gracie realise it must be Yasmeen the Kayaking Fairy 's magical paddle! Megan tries to pull it out, thinking someone must have dropped it, but a goblin is holding onto the other end and the girl goes tumbling into the squelchy mud. Her sister jumps in to help her and they both get covered in mud! They head back to the hostel to change, giving the girls a chance to get back the paddle, although the goblin has run away.

Rachel comes up behind them, having seen where they went and having separated from some misbehaving boys in her group. The three of them run overland to search for the goblin. They notice some boys messing around. One of them is doing flips in his kayak and getting in the way of other users of the lake. The girls realise they're not boys but goblins. Khadijah is scared but she knows she has to help the fairies. The girls get back into their kayaks and try to paddle out to where the goblins are, but they suddenly find they cannot paddle well! It takes a lot of effort to get out to the goblins. They try to ask them nicely to give back the paddle, but naturally the mischievous creatures refuse. The goblins paddle away and dock, heading towards the Treasure Pot Café. Unfortunately, they take the paddle inside with them.

With much effort, the girls make it to the dock and head into the café. It smells of jasmine and the shelves are covered in lots of trinkets. The friendly waitress comes to say hello and the girls order some lemonade and buttered toast. The goblins, meanwhile, are causing chaos, being rude to the waitress and knocking over plates and cups. They are arguing and two of the goblins are complaining that their arms ache. The third, who has the paddle, dismisses them. Gracie is angry and starts to jump up to shout at them for being so rude. Rachel stops her, telling her to be patient. The waitress brings over their order and they are especially nice to her. Khadijah asks about the things on the shelf and she tells them that she and her mum collect them from the lake. She shows them a bottle she found the day before and the girls recognise it as containing a fairy! The goblins rudely tell her to give it to them, but Khadijah asks nicely if they can have a look and the waitress hands it to the girls, wondering whether they can uncork it. Indeed, it seems to be frozen shut and the three girls huddle round and try to open it. Gracie remembers they have magical bags which always contain useful magical things and she reaches in to find a small ball of pink modelling clay, which begins to heat in her hand. She uses the heat to melt the ice and Rachel pops the cork. Out comes Yasmeen!

The girls tell her they've already helped Helen and Aria, but that Keiko is still missing. Then they show her that the goblins have her paddle. The girls pay the waitress and return the bottle, before heading outside. The goblins follow them and the girls hide under a wooden boat. They overhear the goblin with the paddle wanting to go kayaking again, whilst the other two complain they still ache. Rachel comes up with an idea to magic up somewhere for the goblins to relax, hoping they'll fall asleep and the girls can take back the paddle. Yasmeen creates a tent full of cushions, blankets and soft toys and disguises the girls in pink outfits with caps to hide their faces. The girls offer the goblins bogmallow hot chocolate and the two aching ones accept readily. The first goblin falls asleep on a beanbag while Rachel sings a lullaby. The second lies down on another beanbag which Gracie has sprinkled with lavender oil. Yasmeen magicks up a purple velvet eyemask for him and Gracie reads a bedtime story. The third is less keen on sleeping and Khadijah offers to take his paddle or read him a story. She tells him that even elite athletes need rest and convinces him to rest before he goes back on the water. He lies down and Khadijah covers him with a blanket, offering a teddy which he hugs alongside the paddle. She reads him a story and sings a lullaby, for which Rachel and Gracie provide the harmonies. He finally starts to snore, but is still cuddling the paddle. Yasmeen suggests he needs to relax more and she uses her magic to make the beanbag bigger and softer. Gracie brings scented oils and Yasmeen creates a nightingale to sing. Khadijah suggests swapping the paddle for something else and Yasmeen magicks up a series of paddle-shaped objects. The girls slip these into his arms and manage to soften his grip on the paddle. Khadijah grabs it and hands it back to Yasmeen!

The happy fairy thanks them and uses her magic to return the girls' clothes to normal. She disappears the tent, but leaves the goblins asleep on their beanbags. The girls get back in their kayaks and find it is easy again! They paddle off to find Kirsty and know that the magic will help them find Keiko soon.
