Fairy Profile from the Official RM Facebook Page[]

Zoe's Magic Lace helps keep all kinds of skating 'in line'. Her wand sends out a beam of sparkly red fairy dust, shaped like roller blade wheels. Zoe is a speed demon, but she's also very safety conscious. She always makes sure everyone is wearing proper protective equipment. If she had her way, a helmet, knee and elbow pads would be acceptable formal wear.

Blurb[]

Zoe the Skating Fairy knows that without her Magic Shoelace all types of skaters will be in trouble. Can Kirsty and Rachel trick the goblins and get it back?

Appearance[]

Zoe has light skin with long, flowing red hair with a red-orange helmet. She wears a red halter-neck top with an image of a yellow star, orange skating shorts decorated with yellow stars, red in-line skates and a skate wheel pendant. She also wears black knee pads and wrist gloves. Her wings are grey-tinted.

Symbol: Grey skate wheels.

Magic Object/Job[]

Magic Object: The Magic Shoelace.

Job: Zoe's job is to look after all skateboarders and skaters and make sure that skaters all over the world don't hurt themselves and have fun skating.

Rachel and Kirsty are trying to inline-skate at Oval Park, which is near the Walkers’ house and has nice paved paths for skating, but no one, including the girls, can skate very well while Zoe the Skating Fairy’s magic skate lace is missing. After passing an unsuccessful skateboarder, the girls have to dodge out of the way as four inline skaters zip past them, headed for a forested section of the park. They’re skating so well that the girls conclude they must be the Goblins with the magic lace, but it’s hard to follow them on the girls’ own skates. Luckily, Zoe appears in the branches of a nearby tree and turns the girls into fairies so they can fly and keep up with the goblins.

On a loop of path among the trees, the four goblins are practising a relay race using the skate lace as a baton. Noticing that the third goblin is waiting under some oak trees, Rachel asks Zoe to distract him with a shower of conjured acorns so he’ll drop the lace in which he does, but then he slips on the acorns and ends up sitting on the lace so the girls can’t get it. The three fairies follow the goblin as he rejoins the rest of the group, exaggerating the story of the acorn attack. All the goblins are briefly distracted by a nearby doughnut seller offering free samples and the fourth goblin looks especially sulky when the first says there’s no time for sweet treats and they need to practice the relay again. Kirsty comes up with a plan: Rachel will tempt the fourth goblin out of position and to the donut stall while Kirsty takes his place and escapes with the lace.

Zoe’s magic changes Kirsty to goblin size and gives her greenish skin and a tracksuit like what the goblins are wearing, then conjures a doughnut for Rachel. When the goblin tries to take Rachel’s doughnut, she directs him to get a free sample of his own before the seller runs out. Kirsty gets into position and manages to fool the third goblin by keeping her face turned away, but the fourth goblin returns for the lace before she can escape with it.

All four goblins begin to chase Kirsty, then the first and second ones turn around to cut her off from the opposite direction. Zoe turns her back into a fairy just in time and Kirsty flies up into a tree to join Zoe and Rachel. The goblins leave after Zoe threatens to drop more acorns on them and she thanks the girls and turns them human before returning to Fairyland with the lace.
